Description
In 2017, Lockheed Martin hosted the prestigious NOVA Awards, honoring over 500 employees for their exceptional contributions. As the lead designer, I developed all print materials and motion graphics for the event, which is the company's most significant annual ceremony, hosted by CEO Marillyn Hewson. The challenge was to create a cohesive design system for both print and digital platforms, while integrating practical elements like lighting and set design, all within a $20K budget. The result was a visually stunning event that was highly regarded for its seamless execution and celebration of Lockheed Martin's top talent.
The 2017 NOVA Awards program for Lockheed Martin Corporation required the development of a comprehensive design system that could be applied across various platforms, from print materials such as invitations, menus, and brochures, to digital content such as signage and web promotions. The system would also need to be incorporated into the practical aspects of the event, including lights, sounds, and overall set design. The objective was to create a cohesive and visually appealing environment for the event that reflected the importance of the NOVA Awards while adhering to a budget of $20,000.
The 2017 NOVA Awards event was a resounding success, receiving accolades for its cohesive design and seamless execution. The comprehensive design system effectively unified all print and digital materials, contributing to an engaging and memorable experience for over 500 attendees. Feedback indicated that the event not only highlighted the exceptional contributions of Lockheed Martin employees but also strengthened company morale and culture. The event remained within the $20K budget, showcasing efficient resource management and creativity in design.
