Description

For this project, I was tasked with animating the IAAPA logo to serve as an interactive element on their new website, as well as a versatile branding asset for commercials and social media campaigns. IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, needed a dynamic and engaging logo animation that would strengthen their visual identity and provide interactive appeal for their audience.
The challenge was to create an interactive, professional, and visually appealing logo animation within a tight two-day timeframe. The animation needed to align with the brand’s identity while working seamlessly across various platforms, including the new website and social media efforts. Additionally, the initial design required multiple iterations and redesigns to ensure a smooth, cohesive, and functional animation.
To address this challenge, I focused on creating a dynamic and versatile logo animation that would not only enhance the IAAPA website’s interactive experience but could also serve as a branding tool for commercials and social media. I explored several design iterations and ultimately redesigned the logo to optimize its fit and functionality for animation. The final animation was exported in multiple formats, including Lottie animations, allowing compatibility with web interactivity while maintaining visual consistency across digital platforms.

Animation Process

I utilized Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator throughout the design and animation process. After preparing initial designs in Illustrator and refining them in Photoshop, I brought the elements into After Effects for animation. This workflow involved several design iterations to ensure the logo’s motion was clean, effective, and met IAAPA’s brand standards. Each design stage prioritized clarity, versatility, and interactivity while adhering to the project’s strict two-day deadline.
